Christmas in July

Today is a good day. I’m working hard to finish my latest novel, Christmas, Alabama, and notice that my free BookBub ad for my first Alabama story, Again, Alabama, has hit #1 in the Kindle store in US and Canada. These ads aren’t easy to get, and I give all the credit to the  publishing team at The Tule Publishing Group for their tireless efforts at submitting our books for this kind of fantastic promotion. After we write them, they go into a series of editing and production that is a tricky balancing act of finding a perfect cover that reflects the essence of the story, setting, and characters, and polishing the writing until it shines. If everything doesn’t line up just right, books don’t get chosen for this kind of promotion. BookBub is very picky, so I’m grateful and honored to have had several opportunities.
